Rokoko is the collaborationof artists A.me and Mitch Alamag. Established in 1983 after graduation from the Rhode Island School of Design. Wife and husband work together on separate aspects of the work.

A.me draws, writes and paints the imagery.

Mitch builds the framework and applies patterns and finishes.

Their name 'Rokoko' is derived from the Japanese word 'kokoro', which means 'of the heart'. It also is a play on the late 18th century style of art 'Rococo', which is very ornate and whimsical.
